1. What were and where were all of the colonial possessions of the imperialist country? Answer:
* The Caribbean: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago * Australia and Oceania: Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Tuvalu * North America: Canada, the U.S

2. What present day countries were once part of the colonies? Answer: The US, Canada, Austraili, New Zealandm Jamaica, Bahamas. 3. Why did the imperialist country establish the colonies? Answer: They wanted to expand British Empire and prevent French from gaining a parts in the Australian continent or in that part of the Pacific. They also needed supply of Flax, Baltic because of war. They needed a port in the East to promote trade with China. Britian’s was prison was overcrowded and they used Australia ad their prison. Australia also had natural resources which Great Britain wanted. 4. How did the imperialist country gain control of the country/colony? Answer: The British simply establish settlements. The started off by making settlements that were built and serviced by prisoners and they were maintaining a military presence. 5. What were the colony's natural resources, and agricultural products? Answer: Minerals, coal, natural gas, uranium ore, zinc, lead, & alumina. Gold, diamonds, opals and other precious stones, iron ore, nickel, petroleum. Some agricultural products includes : are wheat, rye, oats, barley, potatoes, and sugar beets. 6. What were the languages, ethnic groups, and cultural practices of the native people of the colony? How did people resist or react to foreign control? Answer: Most of Australian population at this time was Aborigines and these people fished, hunted and gathered food.
